What Causes Pain And Bump At The Head Injury Site In A Child?

Hi my son fell off of our bed 4 days ago and hit the dresser he had to have 2 stitches other than that he was fine well just an hour ago he wakes up and is crying and says his head is hurting bad where he had to have the stitches and it feels like there is a knot back there now i was wondering if i need to take him to the er could it be because of his head injury 4 days ago he s only 4 years old and it s worrying me. Any answer would be appreciated thank you.

Thanks for the query.
Fall from the height of less than 2 feet are not risky generally.
You try some medicine like brufen for pain , if other things are normal like no vomiting, diziness, altered behaviour.
Pain may be there for 2 to 3 days due to truama and inflammation.
See a doctor if problem persists.
Get the stich done asap.
