What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation Around The Kidney Area?

My mom is experiencing stabbing pain in her kidney area and a burning sensation. She also says it burns when she pees and after she does pee she says the pain gets worse. She also says she is extremely nauseous most of the day. This has been going on for a long time now and we are not getting answers. What could it be? Thank You.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Burning sensation during urination and pain in the renal area may be due to nephritis with UTI or renal stone with UTI or ureteric stone with UTI. Please drink plenty of water and liquids, use painkiller like Flavospas, twice a day for five days. Use syrup. Citralka 2 teaspoon with one glass of water thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
