Thank you. I am a 66 year old male in relatively good health. I have no major medical issues. Over the course of the last few days i have experienced a great deal of discomfort with my penis. I always have a sensation that i need to urinate even immediately after going to the bathroom. In addition, I have discomfort in the form of a slight pain in the head of my penis. The pain is kind of a burning sensation. Can you please explain what may be causing this and what i can do to rectif?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I understand your problem. You may have urinary track infection causing burning sensation while urinating. There are chances that you also have kidney stone/ureteric calculi. Following investigations to be done: USG abdomen and pelvis. Urine routine and microscopy. Follow up with these reports for treatment or you can also see a surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
