What Causes Pain And Burning While Urinating When Sexually Active?
So I am sexually active, just to get that out of the way. But I haven t had sex in about a week. And this just started to happen yesterday. I went to the bathroom and it burned when I peed so I thought maybe I justcut myself when I shaved. And later that night it itched a little bit so I itched it. And it kind of burned to the touch. That s when I started to worry. This morning when I woke up I went to the bathroom and it really burned when I peed. There s no blood and I ve only had one sex partner the entire time I ve been sexually active. I really have no time to go to the doctor considering I work 2 full time jobs. So some response would be very helpful!
Hi, Burning during urination is indicating towards urinary tract infection. when it occurs in lower tract called cystitis involving bladder while upper tract involvement called pyelonephritis. This occurs more commonly in women due to female anatomy, sexually active and presence of normal flora which grows fast when appropriate temperature and environment found. In some cases it may be asymptomatic but in some may manifest as fever, chills , urgency, frequency and burning micturition. As untreated cases may lead to damage to urinary tract and even renal failure, so, you must consult a physician . Some investigations should be performed like Urine microscopy, urine culture and sensitivity, total blood count. Antibiotic should be taken according to test result. Bye, take care.
