What Causes Pain And Discharge From Belly Button In Toddler?
my 30 mo. old grandson had a discharge in his belly button, pediatrican says she s never seen this before and is recommending him see a pediacric surgeon. the belly button has a nipple looking protrustion. he complains of pain occasionally and will pull on it. any ideas?

This is very commonly seen in a patient with vitellointestinal duct and this can be easily diagnosed with an ultrasound abdomen. Paediatric surgeon will be able to exercise this that and close it after which the symptoms will subside.
