What Causes Pain And Discomfort In Knee While Exercising?
Hi , I studied the symptoms online for my knee problem. I am guessing it should be a jumper s knee problem. It happened when i played soccer 2 months ago. I was doing some strengthening exercises and I also play volleyball. I started playing volleyball and i slightly feel the pain in my knee and feel uncomfortable when I go through stairs. The pain is minimal and after a physical activity (volleyball). Kindly let me know the steps to this problem and strengthen my knee. Thanks!

Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your problem is most likely due to meniscal injury. A physical examination by an orthopedician can give clue for that and a X ray followed by MRI can confirm it . It can be managed conservatively initially by elastic bandaging and ice pack application initially for some days. Quadriceps strengthening exercises also will be helpful in decreasing symptoms. But there is no improvement after 3 months or the injury is more then a diagnostic arthroscopy should be carried out and correction can be done through that also. Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further queries.
