What Causes Pain And Discomfort On The Back Of Head?

I have been having pain and discomfort the back of my head on the left side right at the base. I feel the discomfort even around my ear and my vision in the left eye feels funny and it does in my shoulder. I feel it a lot when I am in bed at night and I lay on my left side. Should I contact my doctor

Hi,
These symptoms are probably related to stress.Appear to be more of somatic symptoms.Mental relaxation exercises like meditation/yoga will help.Amitriptyline(low dose) regularly,under the guidance of a physician will help.Hope that helps.
