I have had some slight pain and discomfort while swallowing in the lower part of my throat. Location is left center of throat at top of my collarbone. Pain also takes place again localized in lower part of throat/esphagus while burping at the same location??
Hello, I am glad to give you a few suggestions. You could have signs of inflammation due to exposure to irritants. This includes allergies and mouth breathing. Dehydrated tissue can cause itchiness and raw tissue with swelling that can cause pressure resulting in pain. Exposure to high acid, alcohol or smoking can cause similar reactions. Post nasal drip and acid reflux are conditions that affect the throat. Dental infections can drain and cause throat discomfort. Please make sure that you are up to date on your dental exam. Your dentist or doctor can palpate your neck region to fell for growths or inflamed lymph nodes. Additional blood lab work may be recommended to evaluate your systemic function. I hope that you find this helpful and thank you for your inquiry.
