What Causes Pain And Hardness In The Testicle?

Hi, I am Naveen. I am suffering with pain in mt testis. I got this first time 6 years back, doctor said it is a normal pain suggested a pain killer and anti biotic tablets(I don t remember the names). And now I got the pain again and my right testis became hard(i can feel the swelling of nerve below the right testis and it pains when touched). This time the other doctor said the same thing and prescribed AZAX 500 and DICLOMOL tablets. They give relief for that instance, however i feel very uncomfortable and even gentle touch is causing pain. Please let me know what might be the problem.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of pain in the testis 6 years back and now again with the right testis getting hard and very tender; that you have been given Azax and Diclomol.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
First of all send your sample of urine for tests of routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity.
Tests of blood.
Ultrasonography and color doppler to aid the diagnosis.
If there is a torsion you need immediate surgery.
If due to infection, you need a long course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory like Diclomol for at least 3 week or longer till you are cured,
Till then use scrotal support and drink plenty of oral fluids.
