Noted the history of need to strain at passing stool, there is pain and protrusion of anus/
rectum, wants to know what it is and whether this is incurable.
The history indicates that this is basically prolapse of anus and rectum making a valve like phenomenon making you to strain and increasing the problems, straining and thus the problems gets accentuated.
I would advise you the following:
Get a clinical evaluation, per-rectal digital examination, proctoscopy and
colonoscopy, barium
enema, anal manometry studies to find the grade of the problem and to find out the most suitable treatment option.
Medical management includes Sitz bath, laxatives, diet change to have better motion consistency.
Surgical management depends upon the actual findings.
