What Causes Pain And Heaviness In Forearm?

I was watching TV when I experienced a squeezing pain in my forearm that really hurt. I asked my husband to get me an aspirin and I took one. The squeezing pain stayed in my forearm and then I had another squeezing pain above my elbow. The pain subsided, but my arm still felt heavy; after about 10 minutes I had another severe squeezing pain in my forearm. However, I don t have any chest pain, no nausea or any other symptoms of a heart attack. I m a female, 75 years old.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
The pain in the forearms is likely to be related to a muscle sprain or a tendon inflammation. Since there is no history of injury, adequate rest, hot fomentation and mild anti inflammatory medicines will help you.
In case the pain persists then consult an orthopedician for a physical examination

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
