I had a complete hysterectomy in September of last year. When I have sex it hurts really bad even after sex the pain is unbearable, I have had a ultra sound haven t heard back. The surgery was a breeze now I m having problems and no sex drive no feeling. What can cause this? I didn t have any pain before the surgery. This is not normal there is something wrong. There is something definitely wrong.
Hello madam, your history is incomplete, you dnt mention about your age, cause of hysterectomy, type of hysterectomy, wheather vaginal or abdominal (open) or laproscopic..Well following hysterectomy there will be loss of libido, this is due to hormonal imbalance in the body..This is due to lack of hormones oestrogen and progesterone. Pain following sexual intercourse is common in menopausal women (either surgically induced menopause or naturally), this is because of dryness of vagina caused by lack of oestrogen..you may have to consult your gynaecologist, basing on your age and history you may be prescribed hormonal supplements. You may be given oestrogen creams for local application if necessary . hope i was helpful to you.
