What Causes Pain And Numbness In My Leg While Walking Or Standing?
Dear Sir, I have been having Left leg pain and numbness radiating from the hip joint till ankles only when i am standing or walking. if i sit for a while the pain vanishes and reappears when a stand or walk. this problem is severe during the morning hours. After morning ablutions the pain reduces for while and again starts. i do not feel the pain while sitting. Kindly help.
Hello,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are probably suffering from spinal stenosis as it is aggravated by walking and immediately relieved by sitting. It is confirmed by MRI scan. Rest in position of relief(generally lateral position with both knee bend),neurotopics such as mecobalamin and analgesics (Diclofenac three times a day after meals is effective). It may require operative decompression if not relieved by conservative treatment. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care.
