What Causes Pain And Numbness Near My Knee?

My right leg is having some pain, on the outside of the leg, right above my knee. When I feel it, it feels larger than the left leg in the same place and it also feels kind of numb. I m overweight, and I don t exercise at all. Only thing I can think that I ve done different is climb into and out of my husbands big 4x4. Could this explain it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve of the leg.

I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the symptoms.

I also recommend gentle stretching exercises for relieve.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi, General &Family Physician
