Hi. I have mild pain, popping, in my ear and a bad taste in the back of ,y throat. I had a sinus infection over a month ago and the ear thing has been since then. My Dr said it could take awhile for my ear to get back to normal. There wS no redness or blockage in my ear when I went to him. Would the bad taste be coming from my ear?
Hi, Welcome to healthcare magic. I had gone through your question. I can understand your concern. The bad taste in throat could be due to post nasal drip of sinus infection. The ear symptoms could be due to fluid in the secondary to sinus infection. I recommend the following. 1) A course of antibiotics. 2) Steam inhalation. 3) Oral decongestant tablet levocetrizine with phenylephrine. You will be fine. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help. Wish you a good health and speedy recovery. Regards, Dr Paparaja S MBBS MS Consultant ENT Surgeon
