I have been having pain in the middle or upper middle of my chest on and off now for over a year. It get numbness in my lips sometimes. I have a dull numbness on the right side of my neck that stays around. No pain anywhere else. It feels like something is on my chest but I have no trouble breathing. Heart rate is in the high 80s. Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation. In my opinion we should first rule out cardiac cause for your symptoms.
So get done
1. ECG
2. 2d echo
To rule out cardiac cause.
If both are negative than no need to worry much for heart disease.
Anxiety can cause similar symptoms. Anxiety is the common risk factor for GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). It can cause central chest pain due to acid reflux.
So treatment of anxiety is needed. So consult psychiatrist and get done counseling session. Try to identify stressor in your life and work out its solution. You may need anxiolytic drugs too. So avoid stress and tension. Be relax and calm.
