What Causes Pain And Raw Feeling In The Roof Of Mouth?
I have a raw feeling on the top of my mouth. i went to the emergency room because i also had a fever and they told me it was strep throat but most of my pain is on the roof of my mouth. my cukture came back negative for strep throat but he gave me a shot of penicillin. my mouth is still very rae and rating and drinking is unbearable. Could this still be strep throat even if 95% of my pain is on the rof of my mouth instead of my throat?

hello thanks for consulting at hcm,, do u smoke?? it could be nicotina palati,,r thrush- fungal infection,,,since strep is negative,,but with only one shot of pencillin?? i think u will be needing topical anesthetics for pain relief, anti fungal topical if it thrush,,do salt water gargle, and also use betadine,,kindly consult a oral physician for a check up and treatment,,hope it helps,,
