What Causes Pain And Redness In The Eyes After Skipping BP Medication?

For a few days I was off schedule with taking my blood pressure medicine. When this happens my right eyeball began to ache and was very sensitive to light. My eye turned red and it was painful to touch the eyeball. When I got in sync with my blood pressure medicine, its all back to normal. Any advice? Thanks, Judith

Hi,

You have to give detail history of your blood pressure duration and detail of medication, and give history of associated problem. You might be having hypertensive retinopathy. Eye doctor should examine the eye. Fundus examination and measurement of iot be made and be regular in taking your medicine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash
