my daughter sat on swing and it broke she went straight down on her buttocks very hard and fast about 2-3 feet from ground, sceamed with pain and then flat to her back? It took a while to get her calmed down to see if she could move, She got up with assistance and walked slowly and says she feels pain soreness in her chest area?
hanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your situation and problem. Your daughter is mostly having blunt chest trauma due to fall from swing. Following are the common complications of blunt chest trauma that can cause pain and soreness in chest. 1. Rib fracture 2. Pneumothorax 3. Pulmonary contusions 4. Muscular injury. So get done chest x ray first. If x ray is normal then no need to worry much, she is having muscular injury mostly. Ask her to avoid heavyweight lifting, strenuous exercise and painful movements. You can give her painkiller and muscle relaxant. Ask her to apply warm water pad on affected site. Don't worry, she will be alright.
