What Causes Pain And Stiffness In The Groin Area?

I have had pain and stiffness in my groin area for about 8 weeks now. It feels like a muscle knot in the center of my upper thigh were it meets the leg and above that? I first felt it when power walking and I had to stop and limp home. It s starting to feel better, I can finally wa lk on it but it still feels really stiff?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The pain and stiffness in the groin area can be related to muscle sprain, ligament tear, capsulitis of hip joint or a swollen lymph node. An MRI scan of the area will help in proper diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Praveen Tayal,
