What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Joints?

I am a 24-year old woman with autoimmune issues similar to RA without the RA factor. I'm currently on methotrexate which helped for a while, but my joint pain and swelling has started coming back. What are some other recommended treatment options? (I am 5'6, 170 lbs, family history of auto-immune issues)
