What Causes Pain And Swelling In Tonsils?

I ve been sick for about a week. Congestion, coughing, runny and stuffy nose. Well yesterday I woke up and my tonsils were swollen. And it hurt more than usual to swallow. Now looking at them, they re very inflamed and veiny. I was wonder what this could be.

Hi..
Welcome to healthcare magic
You are going through a viral fever affectig your throat causing tonsilar enlargement and affecting sinuses and nose causing nasal block..watering head ache....
I recommend tablet paracetamol 500 mg for pain relief...tab levocetrizine with montelukast one tablet at night for 7 days...
If its not resolved and not improving even after five days ...the start on antibiotics tablet amoxicillin with clavulinic acid 625 mg two times a after food for 5 days...
You should be alright...nothing to worry...
