What Causes Pain And Swelling On Feet?

For the past 6 months my foot has had pain off and on. It started when I was walking 2+ miles in dress shoes and was in the arch. I thought it was my shoes causing the issue as when I wore my gym shoes I was perfectly fine, that being said now the pain is not severe (more of an ache) and I have noticed that the toe next to my big toe is swollen....it is not severely swollen but noticeable as compared to my left foot.

Hi
I think that may be due to pressure on metatarsal head causing it to swell condition known as metatarsalgia.
For this you should wear soft footwear should stop walking for few days dip your leg in hot and cold water alternatively.
And apply elestocrepe bandage for 1wk.
Get well soon.
Thank you.
