What Causes Pain And Swollen Veins On Wrist After A Surgery?

Broke my right forearm/elbow 2years ago/extensive physical therapy for 6 months after surgery. Have not any real issues until now: wrist hurting for last 2days/hard to grip/feels like it did when we were dealing with scar tissue. Suddenly the veins in my wrist & top of hand were very big & bulging. Frightened me/dealing with slight blood pressure issues due to Exemestane for breast cancer(dr has not put me on blood pressure meds: we are monitoring it: was 145/79 this afternoon. No chest/neck/shoulder pains or tightness & not short of breath.

Thanks for your query.
Usually thickening of a vein is caused by any obstruction in the course of vein. You check for any physical compression on the proximal part. Then try with vigrous wrist movements. if still remains as such consult a doctor for further examination.
