What Causes Pain And Tenderness In Finger After Injuring Knuckle?

Hello. I cut my knuckle on September 25, 2014. I didn't know it was cut pretty bad until almost a month later it had not heal. I went to the doctor and they prescribed antibiotic and told me to keep it wrapped for a week and to wear a splint for a week. After that week was over I thought I was all good. The finger still hurts when I bend it and the area is swollen and dark. The area is also tender. On today, November 10, 2014, I just cut the same finger but this time it didn't bleed as long. Is there something I need to be worried about?

After going through your query I came to know that you got injury to your finger many month before which has not completely cured but you again got injury to your finger with less injury. It is better to be clinically examined by your doctor. You can apply locally betadine ointment to prevent it from from infection. Analgesic such as ibuprofen can be taken for pain relief.
