Hello,
I had gone through your question and understand your concerns very well. I would like to enlighten you that without any valid reason, never go for hysterectomy. Its a major operation and i also like to tell you that as you are approaching towards menopause, this kind of irregularity in periods and pain with clots can occur.
Just because your mom, sister and aunt had undergone hysterectomy, its not necessary that you will also have to face the same surgery. You just need to consult a good gynecologist and take medicines to control pain and bleeding. I think, if you will tolerate this for few more months, then you will achieve menopause and your problem will be resolved.
Hope this answers your question and don't hesitate to ask any further questions or follow up questions. It would be my pleasure to answer your questions.
