Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 53 year old woman that just today started having pain on the backside of her right heal when I stand. I have feltaround on the backside of the bone and can pinpoint the point of pain. I do not know Iif this is something that I should go to the dr. over or if it is something wih being off of it it will go away.
In my opinion, you have a bursa on the back of your heel - we call it retrocalcaneal bursitis. Start painkillers and local heat. Avoid high heels at present. Get an X-ray to see if there is a bony growth. You may need further treatment depending on X-ray findings.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
