What Causes Pain Below The Navel While Having A History Of Ovarian Cysts?
I ve been having pain underneath my naval all the way to my vaginal area. I feel as if I have an Ovarian Cyst. I ve been experiencing sharp pain since 12 this afternoon. It finally let up enough for me to be able to move around a little bit. I have a history of Ovarian Cysts and have Endometriosis. At 13 I had one rupture and full my abdomen with blood and required emergency surgery and blood transfusions. When do I decide that it s bad enough for the ER?
Abdominal and pelvic pain can be from many causes. I find it easier to break it down into four main areas. Gynecologic causes (ovarian cysts, endometriosis), gastrointestinal causes (constipation, appendicitis), genitourinary causes (bladder or kidney infections, kidney stones), and musculoskeletal causes.
Yes, It could be related to ovarian cysts, but if that were the case, then it would more typically be localized to the lower pelvic area with pain more on one side than the other. If the pain was so bad that it limited your movement, then you need to be seen as soon as possible. Yes, you should see a doctor, and if the emergency is your only option, then you need to go in.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
