I have recently been trying to have sex with my boyfriend for the first time. I have been experiencing pain with any objects (tampons, fingers and penis) my whole life. It feels like an open wound being poked and touched when any kind of entry or penetration or contact is happening. I want to be able to have intercourse pain free, I ve always felt like there s something wrong with me and I ve looked things up on the internet that has freaked me out. I get in my head a lot and am not sure if I m just overthinking. What can I do to solve this?
Hi there, After going through your query, I am of the opinion that: 1) The pain that you might be experiencing could be due to vaginismus, ie a vaginal spasm. 2) The vagina when not used to foreign body entering it, can react violently and shut itself down, causing a tightening and spam which hurts a lot if you try and force it open. 3) There could be a vaginal or anal fissure which might be hurting you and a pelvic examination could easily diagnose that. 4) My suggestion is to use an anaesthetic gel like lignocaine and lots of lubrication before having sexual intercourse. 5) If this does not work, it would do you good to just visit a gynaecologist for pelvic examination and try and find a diagnosis for your problem.
