Hello, my problem is with pain during full-penetration sexual intercourse, after a complete hysterectomy, a little over 5 months ago. I had no complications with the surgery, and bounced back in no time. Except. With intercourse, I experience pain inside my pelvis as if something exploded. The pain reaches up to my rib cage. It continues like this for about 3 days, then slowly goes away. I can t have intercourse again for weeks. My doctor has treated me twice for granular tissue, with silver nitrate (not painful). Now she is prescribing me some estrogen cream. Cool, if this works. But is this much pain usually seen with granular tissue? If it s granular tissue, I can just wait it out, no problem. But I also have so much pain with bearing down even to have a bowel movement in the week after I have intercourse that I DON T bear down and live on Metamucil. If these problems are just do to granular tissue, I can wait it out, no problem. But I m wondering if granular tissue is a sufficient explanation for all that I m experiencing. Any thoughts? Thank you for your time!
