What Causes Pain During Urination After Having Unsafe Sex?

I have pain when peeing and I have suddenly started bleeding however this could be my period as I am on the coil and they I tend to randomly bleed lightly for two days sort of every 2/3 months. However I am worried due to the fact I had unprotected sex after an alcohol induced night out 2 days ago and so I am worried this could be an sti and not just a water/yeast infection

Hello,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. Your symptoms suggest that you could be suffering from a urinary tract infection and irregular bleeding is possible in such a situation. Please get a urinalysis to exclude infection. A proper clinical examination by a specialist is needed wherein swabs from the cervix and vagina can be taken if suspected of infection. It is not necessary that this should be a sexually transmitted disease. Cystitis is often seen with rough intercourse as the female urethra is very much exposed to pressure. always use protection to avoid infection. Hope this helps.
