What Causes Pain From The Thighs To The Ankles Along With Swelling In The Legs?

Hi, my legs are swelling and they hurt from my thighs down to my ankles. At first it was just my calves that hurt to touch and it kept moving up to my thighs. They hurt to touch. It feels like they are bruised really bad. What could it be?

Hi,I understanded your question and I will try to help you.
If I were your treating doctor I would like to exclude certain problems:

First possibility, vascular cause for the swelling as DVT or venous insufficiency by doing duplex ultrasound .

second possibility ,Radicular pain from your back should be excluded by doing X Ray and MRI for lumbosacral spine.

Third possibility Gouty arthritis should be excluded by doing serum uric acid level.
I find this answer helpful
