What Causes Pain In Abdomen While Coughing During Pregnancy?

Hello, I am 29wks pregnant and have been sick with a horrible cough for about a week. This morning when I woke up I coughed as usual an got a shooting pain in my mid left abdimon. It doesnt hurt to breath, yawn, take a deep breath...it only hurts when I cough.

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion the pain during cough might be muscular origin.Due to repeated and long duration cough there might be a muscle spasm leading to pain.Nothing to worry about that.Take simple paracetamol for pain.It will subside as the spasm is releived and as the cough decreases.


So relax and take cough suppressant.
