What Causes Pain In Arm After An Electric Shock?

My wife just got an electric shock on her hand while trying to unplug the hair drier (it was off). She accidentally held with her index and thumb each of the two poles of the plug. She got stuck for a couple of seconds and now has pain on her whole arm. Her index finger is cold. Is this something to worry about? What treatment should I give her?

Is the index finger pale also. The pain could be due to muscular stress. Just see a doctor so that he can examin you and rule out anything serious.
