What Causes Pain In Base Of Skull And Discomfort Feeling In Sinuses?

I keep having a popping kimd of sensation in my sinuses which is followed up by severe pain mostly in the base of my skull that lasts for a few seconds. I ve also had a wet cough for about 2 weeks with shortness of breath and my mucous is bright green. Is it something that I should go to the doctor for or should I try to wait it out?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, you seem to be having infection in your sinuses and chest. Popping sensation and the pain part seems to be because of sinus opening blockade. Please take a mucolytic, bronchodilator and nasal decongestant drops along with lots of steam. If the problem persists, please see an ENT as antibiotics may be required for this. Regards
