What Causes Pain In Chest And Tenderness In Sternum?
I have experienced chest wall pain for several years and their is always a tender area when I press around the sternum. I only time I have concern is when I experience sudden pain on the left side of my sternum. Usually it follows carrying something heavy or picking up a heavier object and if I press hard on this area it will go away, but for a minute it scares me that it maybe heart related until I press on it. Is it related to Osteopenia. Will taking calcium Citrate help strengthen this area. How often should I take Aleve for this discomfort?
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you may be suffering from muscular pain as it usually follows carrying something heavy. You have a tender spot. In my opinion it is not related to osteopenia. It can be best treated by giving a local triamcilone injection locally in tender spot. You take aleve whenever you have pain with maximum limit of three in a day. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
