Hi I was wondering if you could help me a bit I'm having this chest/lung pain when I lean forward it feels like I'm being stabbed or similar feelings, (also feels like its in intense pressure or if something is poking it) I've been smoking for nearly a year on and off. Any chance of help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Since you are smoker, possibility of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) related pain is more. Your chest pain is more in leaning forward position. In this position, acid reflux is also more. So this acid causes burning type of chest pain. So first of all quit smoking as soon as possible. This is must thing to solve your problem. Also take antacid like pantoprazole on empty stomach. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep your self hydrated. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid junk food. Keep 2-3 pillows under head of the bed to prevent reflux. Don't worry, you will be alright but please quit smoking. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
