recently, i have a bad cough but after 1 week medication from the chest physician. My cough is much more better.However, another week of medication of inhalation of turbuhaler is needed. During my second week of medication, my lower back in between lung and kidney feel minor pain. The pain occur when i sleep one side and cough. At first i wondering is it my kidney problem but now even feel confuse. Should i seek for check up in details from my chest physician?

Yes, you should definitely consult pulmonologist again and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and chest x ray to rule out pneumonia and pleural effusion. Both of these are common after viral upper respiratory tract infection (URTI). And lower chest pain on coughing is seen in both. So get done chest x ray. If chest x ray is normal than no need to worry for pneumonia or pleural effusion. Simple muscular pain can also cause similar symptoms. So take painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs. Application of warm water pad on affected areas is also beneficial. Don't worry, you will be alright. But better to get done chest x ray to rule out infection. Hope I have solved your query.
