What Causes Pain In Chest While Deep Breathing?
hello my 11 yr old daughter is complaining of chest pains but it's not directly where her heart is but above it and her upper left muscles. she says it hurts her to take a deep breath like she feels strings tugging. she cannot straighten he body because she says it hurts. she says this has been going on for a few days but today she says it is worse....should I run to the emergency room????

Rule out cardiac causes by going to a nearby physician for examination and check up. Investigate with EKG for rule out any cardiac cause if present. If no cardiac cause present, then history regarding trauma should be taken. Muscular strain pain can lead to chest pain also for which ibuprofen can be prescribed and hot compress useful. Consult a physician for examination.
