What Causes Pain In Chest While Deep Breathing?

ive been having this sharp paine on my upper right side right under my rib cage and the same pain right on my upper right side of my chest its been going on for about 3 days since i got fever the fever seem to went away but still got the sharp pain, my mom said she thinks is just gas and that it will go away in time, but its really anoying me and it bother to breath when i try and take a deep breath the sharp paine gets stronger

I have gone through your query.Your problem is most likely Costochondritis.Pain while palpation in rib area is characteristic for this.But it better to have an ECG and chest X ray to rule out problems due to cardiac and lungs.For costochondritis in my patients i treat with anti inflammatory gels of Nimusulide or Diclofenac for local application.I also advise the tablets of same if pain is more.If no improvement with this then i recommend local injection of corticosteroids or anesthetics.Hope this may help you.
