What Causes Pain In Ear After Continued Use Of Earplugs?
I sleep with earplugs in every night. The other morning when I took my left ear plug out, it was painful and now it's quite sore if I put my finger in my ear (as if trying to block noise out), and when I burp it produces a short, intense pain. What could the problem be?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in ear after continued use of ear plugs which is due to developent of negative ear pressure due to dysfunctioning of eustachian tube. I would suggest you to put antibiotic ear drops such as Otosic ear drops and apply warm compresses. You should take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin in combination with antiallergic medication. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get otoscopic examination and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Get audimetery testing done as well. Avoid touching and pricking it with any sharp object.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
