Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your complain and presentation of symptoms difficulty in opening the mouth and having a history of
tobacco chewing it is mostly found that the person suffers from Oral
Submucous Fibrosis..
In patients having submucous fibrosis there is formation of thick fibrous bands on the inner aspects of cheeks under the mucosa as well as in advanced cases fibres can be formed on the inner aspects of the lips also..
This leads to restriction and pain during trying to open the mouth full..
Pain in ear in case if you have
cold can be due to cold and is a common finding in patients having cold and for this you can take decongestants, anti-allergics and anti-inflammatory painkiller like
Ibuprofen, steam inhalations after advise with a local physician.
For Oral Submucous Fibrosis you should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and after a proper examination he can advise you to apply a Steroid based ointment along with ointment containing Hyluronidase over the inner side of the cheeks as hyluronidase help in breaking of the fibres.
Anti-oxidants like
Lycopene that has to be taken daily can be advised..
Intra-lesional injections that are given directly over the fibres under the buccal mucosa can be given to break the fibres and it contains
steroids as well as hyluronidase..
Mouth opening exercises will also be advised as well as demonstrated that has to be done daily for improving mouth opening..
Although the complete recovery is not possible commonly but in case if you completely quit tobacco and follow the instructions and medicines advised to you by your physician some improvement will definitely take place..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
