What Causes Pain In Feet When Walking On Pavement But Not On Carpet?

Hello, I hurt my foot couple of weeks ago by stepping on a small toy. Then I sprained it and now it is all weird. When I walk on the pavement it hurts, but when I walk on the carpet it hurts less. When it hurts it feels like there is a small rock on my shoe or sandals. I feel like I need a brace at all times, but not too sure if it s necessary. Thank you in advance.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello, looks like you have sprained our foot or around your ankle. Kindly get examined by your orthopaedician to locate the specific ligament you have sprained. He might suggest you a brace or a cast if necessary. Take care.
