Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My right middle finger and 4th toe hurt - it is an uncomfortable feeling. Feels little better with cracking knuckles. The right hand feels colder than left. Almost looks like some nerve serving both finger and toe. I am confused what type of doc to go to. And would like to know a name to research about.
Hello,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are probably suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. In this median nerve is get effected. This nerve supply thumb and index and middle finger. There is tingling sensation and pain in these fingers. Treatment is rest and analgesic . if not relieved by these than local steroid may be effective. Operation is last option. You should consult an orthopedic surgeon for it. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care.
