What Causes Pain In Foot?

Hi, I have had foot pain to the point of not wearing high heels any more. I m a 49 yr old female. My feet cramp when I do yoga, and I can t keep them still in the positions, or sit on my feet, without fidgeting from the cramps. I thin I may have damaged my feet by playing in a soccer league with the wrong cleats. My blood checkups come out normally. No diabetes or anything. what should I do? Thank you! Susan

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi
Based on the suffering and your sports history,I suspect stress fracture as the cause. I would advise to get blood test like vitamin D and calcium done beide routine foot xray.
Meanwhile may continue with rest and diet rich in calcium and vitamin D beside Ibuprofen for few days.
Hope this helps.
Take care
