What Causes Pain In Groin/abdomen After Urinating While Having Protein/luecocytes In Urine?

Hi, i am a 25 year old female. Since the past three days i felt pain in the groin area and lower abdomen after urinating. The pain would subside in a minute on its own. The next day i started having frequent urges to urinate along with inflammation post urinating. Got a urine routine test done and the results are - traces of protein found in the urine (10 mg/ dL.) - luecocytes esterase positive, however nitrite is negative - rbc 5-7 rbc/hpf - pus cells 40-75 wbc/hpf. Pl advice. Thanks.

Dear-thanks for using our service, I understand your concern and will give you my medical advise. It looks that you have an urinary tract infection because you have some RBC and multiples wbc, although nitrite is negative.I recommend you to have an urine culture with sensitivity and start prophilactic antibiotic treatment after the culture. The pain in the groin and abdomen most likely is from the infection.
Please hit thanks if I was helpful
