Thank you. I have been walking early morning for about one hour and of late I have developed a pain either nerve or muscle starting at the groin and spreading towards the buttocks. Also I have discomfort on my right knee area which spreads towards the ankle when I walk for about 20 minutes. I have to stop every 10 - 15 minutes relax my leg and then start walking again. Any remedies and medication you could advice me would be much appreciated

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to arthritis of hip and knee joints or due problems of spine like osteochondrosis or disc herniation. If it is persisting then better to have an examination with orthopedician to rule out that. NSAIDs like aceclofenac and muscle relaxants like thiocolchicoside will be helpful to get relief. Local application of diclofenac gel capsaicin also will be helpful. Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further queries. Thanks
