What Causes Pain In Groin Area After Hysterectomy?

I am a 67yr old female, I m 5 4 weigh 120pds. I had a complete hysterectomy, due to uterine cancer in 1999. My first child was born in 1966, it was a very hard, complicated birth, made so by the two,,inexperienced,,interns. To make this short I will get to the problem I now am having. I was told I had ripped muscles, tendons etc. I began experiencing pain in my right upper thigh and groin, it has gotten worse over the yrs, now has spread to my hip. The pain wakes me up and I m unable to move, it is paralyzing. I m told it s my hip and needs replacing, yet the groin pain runs down my leg to my knee, the other side has begun to have same issue. There s other symptoms as well. Thank you for your time

Hi,

I don't think it is because of hysterectomy. Hip joint issues can cause the symptoms what you are having.consult an orthopedician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
