What Causes Pain In Hands While On Cholesterol Medication?

I m a white male 64 years old. In good health and only take medication for high cholesterol. I m having pain in both hands. Some times more server than other times. Especially if I dose off in my recliner and wake up 15 minutes later. Pain in my wrist and fingers. I have had surgery on four fingers on both hands for trigger finger over a three year period. Pain in both hands is slowly getting worse. Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The issue sounds related to arthritis or other neurologic condition rather than medicine side effect. Kindly get an evaluation with orthopedic surgeon at earliest for further guidelines please.

Thank you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
