What Causes Pain In Hip While Standing?

My 13 year old daughter has been complaining of a pain in her right hip area every time she stands from a sitting or lying position. This has been for a few days now and seems to be worsening. Is this a pain that is normal with growing up or something I should be concerned with?

hello,
The pain in the right hip is not normal and not related to the growing period
It would be good if X-ray is done to verify any underlying pathologies like trauma, joint infection, bursitis.
Till then she is not supposed to take weight on her right leg.Icing will help in pain relief.
Hope this helps you
thank you
